Web posted by PAF
As part of our ongoing commitment to raising awareness and providing relevant resources to those living with cancer, Pfizer Oncology is pleased to announce the launch of Lung Cancer Profiles (www.lungcancerprofiles.com).
This national campaign was developed in collaboration with 6 of the US lung cancer patient advocacy organizations: the Bonnie Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, Lung Cancer Alliance, Lung Cancer Foundation of America, LUNGevity Foundation, the National Lung Cancer Partnership and Uniting Against Lung Cancer. The aim is to educate the public about the many different sub-types of lung cancer based on genetic characteristics of each tumor and raise awareness about the role of molecular testing in lung cancer.
Lung Profiles also features two-time Emmy® Award-winning actress Kathryn Joosten, the star of Desperate Housewives and The West Wing and a 10-year lung cancer survivor. Her story along with other patients' testimonials of how molecular testing has impacted their lives will be featured on the website along with resources that can help patients learn more about molecular profiling, lung cancer biomarkers and getting tested. Patients will also be invited to share their own stories via the Lung Profiles website to help inspire others to take action and get tested.
