How PAF Assists Patients with Job Retention Issues

The Patient Advocate Foundation acts as a liaison on behalf of the patient. Patient Advocate Foundation case managers help patients with issues regarding reasonable accommodation in the workplace (in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990). Case managers also serve as a liaison between patients and employers for issues related to FMLA and help assist with employment rights for disabled individuals. Patient Advocate Foundation case managers make referrals to the EEOC for patients who feel they are being discriminated against and desire to file a formal complaint.
